People are interesting. Everyone has their own perspective on how things work, their own story they need to tell, their own struggles and scars to prove it, and their own personality. Some people are more interesting than others, and if given the opportunity, there’s some people we’d love to meet.
For example, celebrities.
There’s always someone who is in the limelight that we’d love to sit down and talk to. Of course, that may not ever happen. But we can dream, can’t we?
I thought I’d share some of the celebrities that, if I had a chance, I’d love to sit down and have a long conversation with. These people inspire me, and I think they’d be interesting to talk to.
TAYLOR SWIFT
Okay, so I’d definitely love to talk to her. My first concert I went to was The Speak Now World Tour. When I saw her playing the songs that she had written, especially since this was the album she had zero co-writers on, it made me want to write songs like that. Songs that told a story, and that resonated with people. I wanted to learn to play the guitar so that I could write those songs. In fact, the first song I really learned to sing and play to at the same time was her song “How You Get The Girl”.
So I would definitely love to meet up with Taylor to tell her how much she has inspired me in my music and songwriting. And I’d love to compare lyrics with her. I’d love to tell her how her stories have always resonated with me, and that there are still some songs that take me back to an amazing moment in my life.
DAN REYNOLDS
Dan’s the lead singer of one of my favorite bands, Imagine Dragons. He has dealt with a lot in his life, and it really shows in the music.
As many of you know, I’ve had my fair share of ups and downs in life. The lyrics in those songs really helped me understand what I was going through, and helped me in seeing that there was light at the end of the tunnel.
I’d love to tell him how much his journey and music have helped me in fighting my battles. And I’d love to tell him that his persistence in fighting his battles has taught me to not give up on fighting mine.
ZENDAYA
It’s funny because she’s only a year older than me. I used to watch “Shake It Up” when I was younger, and loved her in Spider Man Homecoming. But what impresses me the most about her isn’t her acting or talent. It’s how she speaks up for others, and isn’t afraid of how others perceive her. She is 100% unapologetically herself, and is fierce while also being compassionate.
I’d love to talk to her about the world and people. I think just having a deep conversation on any topic would be interesting. I’d love to share some of my observations on humanity with her, and I’d love to listen to some of hers.
BLAKE LIVELY
Blake Lively is amazing. She is a fashion icon, is hilarious, and seems just genuine and down to earth. She doesn’t take herself too seriously. She’s married to Ryan Reynolds, and they are so cute together. Just the story of how they met is awesome.
I’d love to talk to her about fashion, life, and love. I think it would be a chill conversation, and it could get serious while still being fun and enjoyable.
CHRIS MARTIN
Chris Martin is the frontman for a little band named Coldplay. I always thought he was a cool and interesting person, but after seeing the Head Full Of Dreams documentary on Amazon, I’d really like to sit down and talk to him. He views his band as a family. His been through a lot, both with having to work to get to the place they are, and dealing with a very public divorce. The documentary is really interesting, and sheds a lot of insight into their relationship as a band and how they became the stadium powerhouse they are today.
I’d love to tell him how their music never fails to lift me out of a bad mood. How when I first heard the song “Fix You” I experienced a flood of emotions and truly felt understood in that moment. That I love how their music makes you think. I’d love to hear his comments on things as well. Plus just hearing his accent would be cool.
ZACHARY LEVI
The most lovable geek of them all. He played Chuck Bartowski, is going to play Shazam, has been in MCU for a movie or two, and is actually a huge geek in real life. He seems to just be a cool guy. And he can sing. Like, really sing. Look up Zachary Levi singing Frank Sinatra. You won’t be sorry you did.
I’d love to talk to him about Chuck, and if things turn out okay after all. I’d love to hear his progress on the movie, if it is going to happen, and IF THINGS TURN OUT OKAY. Seriously guys, it hurt. I need some resolution. Some closure. I’d love to talk about nerdy and geeky stuff with him and just have someone to geek out with. I think it’d be fun.
KRISTEN WIGG
Kristen Wigg is probably one of my favorite female comedians. She’s hilarious, and is the definition of a millennial. Watch her episode on “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee”. It’s hilarious.
I think it’d be interesting to talk to her. I’d love to ask her about what being on SNL was like. I’d also love to go shopping with her. I feel like she’d know some pretty unique and artsy places to shop at.
BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH
How can you not like Benedict Cumberbatch? He’s played so many amazing roles, including the iconic BBC’s Sherlock Holmes. He also can’t pronounce penguins, and can be a bit strange (see what I did there?), but there are so many reasons to like him.
I’d love to talk to him about acting. How he got started, and what his favorite role to portray was. I’d also just like to see if he orders coffee, and would love to listen to him babble about a topic I know nothing about. I just think it’d be an interesting conversation, wherever the topic ends up at.
ED SHEERAN
Probably one of the best songwriter’s when it comes to making you see exactly what he’s saying. Ed Sheeran is respected for his writing for a reason, and his song Perfect gets me every time.
I’d love to talk to him about just that- songwriting. Who inspires him, where he draws inspiration, and what it’s like to use a loop pedal, since I’ve always wanted one.
MARIE LU
Marie Lu is probably one of my favorite authors. She has an excellent way of telling stories. She mainly writes dystopian and fantasy novels for young adults. I love the Legend book series, and how she builds these characters and their relationship, and how they continue growing throughout the story.
I’d love to talk to her about writing, and how she goes about it. Maybe tell her about my stories and characters, and see what she has to say. I’d love to get some tips on character development and theme from her, since she does both so well.
So those are ten celebrities I’d love to have a conversation with. Of course there are others I didn’t include, but these were some of the top ones I’d love to meet.
Hope you enjoyed it! Who are some celebrities you’d like to talk to? Let me know in the comments!
Until next time 🙂
